Our Story

Hello, I'm Tiffy the founder of Tabi Co.! 

I started Tabi Co. simply because I truly believe in the benefits of Tabi, a centuries old Japanese construction design that splits socks at the big toe between the rest of your feet. There's so much extra freedom for your feet once you make changes to the types of socks you wear, and now I can't go back to the conventional sock. As someone who pays close attention to detail, making little changes like the type of socks I wear, is something I believe that can make such a big difference, and now wearing normal socks simply make my feet feel more restricted!

My mission is to bring awareness to the benefits of wearing Tabi socks, and making  good quality Tabi socks more accessible. When I bought myself Tabi shoes, I learned that options in the West, in particular in the UK where I live, felt scattered, limited and confusing compared to your conventional sock.

Sometimes I found tabi socks were made of too much polyester, or the sizing around the big toe was awkward and not quite right. Equally, it was also quite hard to find a range of tabi socks that suited different shoes, needs and styles.

So I created the kind of shop I'd been searching for to fulfil all that and hopefully, you'll appreciate it as much as I do too!
